why pinch to zoom don't work in my x8 after upgrade to 2.2 froyo

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 doesn't support multi-touch input that is why pinch-to-zoom doesn't work. It is not the OS but the hardware of your phone is the one not allowing you to do that. Other Xperia handsets like X10 mini and X10 mini pro have the same problem with your phone. Sorry, its not actually a problem, that is just how Sony Ericsson made that phone.
