Thank you for the information. For our first step of the troubleshooting, try to soft reset/refresh your kindle first. Press and hold down the power button for straight 20secs to turn off the unit. Wait for 10 secs then hold the power button again to turn it on. Check the issue again after the soft reset.

hi there im very sorry, all my tabs just closed and my internet is very slow as i work on a boat. no i have tried that before a couple of times and i did it again with no result
Looks like the problem is already the software of the kindle. We need to perform a full factory restore on your kindle to fix this problem. This process will put your kindle to the factory default state. It's like you open your kindle out from the box. You need register again your kindle by using your amazon account for you to retrieve all your books.
Please let me know if you are ready with this procedure and let me the exact model of your kindle.

Ok. Please follow the procedure to reset your kindle fire to factory default settings.
On the top of the screen, swipe down to find the menu bar, then click on "More":
A new menu will appear, you go to the "Device" section
At the end of the Device menu, you will see the option "Reset to Factory Defaults"
Just click on it and a dialog box will appear, asking you if you want to do the factory data reset. Just click on "Erase Everything" and wait for the reset process to run. It will take some minutes, depending on how much data need to be erased.
After the erasing process is done, your Kindle Fire HD is just like a brand new one now. If you want to register again, just go through the initial set up process again.
