Yes. And I've deleted and re-added the account using the above email. I also tried creating the account with a different email address and had the same problem,

Hi,

Please follow the steps below so that you can activate the google services.

From the home screen, tap on Apps.

Go to Settings.

Tap on Account and Sync.

Tap on Add Account.

Tap on Google.

Tap on Existing if you have an existing Gmail email address or New if you don't have one yet.

Tap on Email then type in your Gmail address then Password for your Gmail password.

Tap on Sign in to proceed.

Your phone has the feature to back up your apps, settings (such as bookmarks and Wi-Fi password) and others. Put a tick on the box that says "Keep this phone backed up with my Google account" the tap on Next.

Press on the Home button to go back to the home screen.
