Please try this procedure Maxwell and let me know of the result. Thank you

    1. Press the MENU button on the remote.
    2. Select Setup.
    3. Select Auto Program.
    4. Select Source.
    5. Choose Air or Cable.
    6. Select Auto Program to let the TV reprogram the channels.

I have done this several times. and the TV does not reprogram the channels.

- Press MENU and press Channel from the Main Menu

- Press the OK / Down button to proceed to CHANNEL menu

- Use up/down to choose the function you need press OK or right  arrow to adjust or enter a sub-menu.

- Choose Auto Scan to execute an auto channel search

Let's try this one Maxwell. On your RCA tv remote control try to go to channel 3 or 4. This option supports high definition video and Dolby Digital audio.

How to connect: Plug one end of the cable into the HDMI port on the back of your receiver. Plug the other end of the cable into the HDMI port on the back of your TV.

No. On our old TV we could watch whatever we wanted, but the remote went bad and we have been waiting a long time for the new one to come.  But on this new RCA tv, we can't get anything. It tells us to add channels, but when we follow their directions, it doesn't work.

- Press the OK / Down button to proceed to CHANNEL menu

- Use up/down to choose the function you need press OK or right  arrow to adjust or enter a sub-menu.

- Choose Signal Type Air / Cable... then try to go on Channel 3 or 4

- After going to Channel 3 or 4, Try to change the channels on your Direct Tv remote

- Be sure that the TV is set to HDMI

I'm not bothering with this RCA tv any more. Am going to take back to store. I finally got new remotes for my old TV which has the channels already programmed into it. So going back to old TV. Thanks for trying to help, anyway.
