2015 TLX glove box will not open

Every key fob has a mechanical key attached to it in case the fob runs out of battery and you can open the driver's door the old fashion way. use that to lock/unlock the glove box. Rotate clockwise 90 degrees to lock, counter clockwise 90 degrees to unlock.

Any update on this issue?
The glove box was not locked. My wife just put her purse in the glove box and closed it. Subsequently when she tried to open it by pushing the buttont.. it didn't open. I have tried using the fob key but without success.
Can you rotate the ket clockwise or counter clockwise after putting it in to the keyhole?
I am makin a follow up on this.

I am afraid that the problem there is the mechanism on the inside. It might be a loose mechanism. Turning the key should relaease the mechanism lock inside the tumbler. You might need to briing this to the dealership and have it checked or replaced.

I've been to the dealer - the service rep cames out to the car and gave the underside of the glovebox a firm whack with the side of his fist .. that 'freed up' the push button which was semi jammed in. Then we could open and the glovebox. The glovebox was pretty full and that might have contributed to the jam.
I see. Dont put too much things inside to prevent this issue from happening. Nice to know that the problem is solved.
