five year old MEW5503ddb17 Maytag oven.  Working fine.  Tonight, the control panel would not accept a "bake...375" entry.  It would accept bake, but would not accept any numbers.  It would accept 9, and then change to warm 170...or 9 and then 6 and be warming to 550.  I cut the fuse box, left it off for 10 minutes. re hooked up the fuse box and the same thing.  It is like I have somehow locked up the oven...

Thanks for replying. Before we conclude that the oven control panel is broken lets try some troubleshooting. Some  ovens may be equipped with Control Lock. Look for "Control Lock" on the oven control console, then reset by, typically, pushing & holding for 3 seconds. Please let me know when you see it.

There is no control lock.  Auto set, cancel, bake, broil, keep warm, clock, favorite,

cancel works fine

Thanks for verifying. It looks like the control panel has started to go bad since its showing symptoms of unresponsiveness.

I am thinking we got a surge.  Nothing else is out, but who knows...lots of thunderstorms going thru.  I guess I will research getting a new one and trying to install, or I will just break down and buy a new oven...thanks.

This is the control panel for your oven correct? If some keys are not working and your oven does not respond to any programming, the control panel has gone bad and needs replacement.
