Press and hold the clock button for 10 second to exit sabbath mode. Then when you try to set the clock just press the clock button and enter the time dont hold the clock button in.

Let me know if it works.

Im stuck in the 5A6 mode last couple days. Range top works no button works

OK. Are there any display showing or lit aside from the 5A6?

When I unplugged it and plugged it back in it said -40 for about 10 sec and then went to 5A6

Yes its because whenever the range goes off and turns back on it it will activate the sabbath mode.

When you pressed the clock button earlier did the 5A6 blinked a couple of times?

Called   now holding clock time goes to  a time but enter correct time and clock and goes back to 5A6

Alright, Im suspecting  a hardware fault but have you tried leaving it plugged in for 72 hours without any power interruption because sabbath mode ends after 72 hours

coming up on 72 hrs Ill go over and try tomorrow to see if it works   thanks  Is 5A6 the sabbath mode?

5A6 is an indication that your range has been placed in "Sabbath Mode". This is set to disable the range for up to 72 hours for those religions that honor the sabbath. It cannot be defeated by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker.

Well I got as solution

Mon I unplugged the Range and it gave me the 5A6 only  Tried the cancell and clock and it gave me a time but could not change and then went back to 5A6  today still had 5A6  with same results for clock and cancell.  Tried what the maytag lady said.  turn the circuit breaker off  for 2 min. Got the same 5A6 but this time holding clock gave me a time that I could fix.  and the oven worked.  Thanks for the help but she deseves the tip  you got the $17 or your share.
