Front load washer is leaking. The water appeared to be/felt like it was coming from under the lid. I unscrewed/removed the lid and there was a lot of moisture at the top, on tubes inside, the frame, and the lid. Any advice as to where I should look for the leak? Water hoses did not feel wet. The machine had not been used in days, but the moisture was still present.

Hello Chris

How are you doing? If there are no leaks on the hoses I am suspecting that it's coming from the soap dispenser. If the Soap dispenser is dirty or clogged this issue does occur. It will be helpful if you can give me the exact model of your Maytag front load washer. But for now, I can give you some advice on how to clean the soap dispenser. Please click on the blue CLEANING link below for reference.

Hope this helps and I'll be standing by for your response. Thank you.

Hi Relly.

I believe I have found the issue. The machine was sold as a Kenmore and I was unable to locate the model number in the short time I looked. I still have the top/lid off as that was where the water was leaking. I found a pinhole leak which is spraying a very fine mist. I'm sending a photo. The hole feels to be on the "fin". What is this piece called and where can I find it?

Thank you for trying to diagnose from there. I'd already checked the hoses and the dispenser. I was concerned it was going to be the pump, although the leak doesn't only occur when the machine is running.

Hi Chris

This is the closest one I can get to and I believe that it's the one you need. This tube's part number is AP3844472

Maybe you can try to fill the pinhole with an epoxy just to get rid of the mist. But if it does not help you may try to purchase this part online at AppliancepartsPros.com. This will cost $18.68. You may click the link below to access the site where you can order the part.

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-tube-134372100-ap3844472.html

Note: Genuine Frigidaire part. Frigidaire brands include Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and others.
Electrolux also makes various appliance models for Sears / Kenmore

Hope this helps. Is there anything else I can add or help you with? I'll be standing by for your response.

Thank you

Hi Relly. I did get the part number. Thank you for the extra time researching that. My plan was to put some sort of adhesive on the pinhole just to be sure it isn't the only place water is leaking, but I feel certain, based on where I noticed it first that this will be the only leak.

Thank you for all the help you provided.
