Just replaced lamp. green led flashes 3 times, repeats. tv will not power up. Lamp and door are secure and have been repeatedly re-installed. What's up? (Input selection is possibly set on an inactive input mode as I was changing input from DVD back to cable when problem occurred.)

Hi Dennis! Thank you for choosing ExpertHelp.com. You mentioned that your tv green light blink 3 times. This could be related to a bad main board or a bad power supply. Can you try to unplug the tv from the power source. And if you are using a surge protector remove it and the plug it back in again not using the surge protector. When your ready, please type your responses on this page and then click on the Blue Send Response button to post your response. Thank you for your response. There is a big possibility that the issue could be related to a bad main board or a bad power supply. The blinking of the lights three times is an indicator that the issue is on the main board or the power supply. If you can see that the tv is not powering on.

This is a hardware fault or issue. I will hardly recommend for you to have it look the main board for possible busted fuse and also have the power supply check also.

Posted
Customer

Copy that. Is the fuse viewable without disassembling the TV?

Unfortunately no Dennis. You have to disassemble the back of the tv for you to see the main board. Have a tv technician check that for you. If you will send this tv for repair. The price for the parts and the service labor is just like buying a new tv. Instead of sending it for repair why not have a new tv. :)
