Ok you will need to use an RCA cable like this on boh ends. do you have this kind of Cable? Red yellow and White?

On the TV remote click on the source button and tell me what the options are.

under sourse these are listed :tv,hdmi, hdmi,video,pc. I think that the choice of component was there also
