I have bought recently a Sony Bravia X7500F Smart TV Two issues: There seems to be no easy way to display and connect 'External Devices' representing a USB or Networked Device (eg desktop computer) like is the case with HDMI external inputs which are nicely displayed and then can be selected. USB: There are three physical USB inputs. The supplied TV resident 'Help' advises to depress the 'Home' button and 'Media' will be displayed from which to select the a USB. There is no such thing. I managed to display one USB. But to re-display it - impossible. Networked Device: I was able to set up two networked devices via Setting. They are actually displayed (also the wireless router is showing up). I also networked the Windows based two computers. But how do I access those two computers on the TV to initiate the display of stored videos, photos etc? Amazingly the networked device names were displayed following the USB device name (the one USB I had inserted after depressing the Home button (as is advised). Surely, this can not be the right way to access a Networked Device??? In any case, an error message came up saying no files are avaiable to access. Thanks in advance for your hopefully enlightening answers which will solve all my problems. Rolf Rekort

Dear Rolf, It was a pleasure helping you with your Sony issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified :

Assistance on how to navigate to the USB device content

Connecting a computer

Solution Implemented :

Call customer

Assisted in checking other USB devices and found that the problem is the USB device that customer is plugging in.

Plugged in a known good USB drive and it was detected right away.

Advised customer that content viewing thru a regular computer is not possible but only to a server operating system.

The computer can still connect to the TV by using the TV as an extedrnal monitor
