It is recommended to perform a printhead cleaning and printer calibration after replacing the ink cartridges. Perform atleast 3-4 printhead cleaning to achieve good result. See procedure below.

I did the maintenance and calibrate. Sheet printed a black bar and a yellow bar. Letters C M Y B on thr page had Y and B boxed.
Try resetting the printer to factory default state. See procedure below.
Do a test print again after the restore.
Image came out black, white, and yellow. It should be bright red and blue basically
Are you trying to print a picture image or a regular document?
Is it ok if we do a screen sharing on your computer so that I can double check the settings?
a picture (photo) from my pictures galery. I've printed these before in full color. Shouldn't the C that I saw in the C M Y B line have a box around it? Screen share OK

Dear Nancy, It was a pleasure helping you with your Kodak issue today. Here is a summary of the resolution.
Issue identified : cx getting black and white only when printing colored images
Solution Implemented : called cx and accessed her computer. tried adjusting the settings to best quality. no go. tried performing printhead cleaning and calibration. no go. tried resetting the printer to factory default. no go. tried cleaning the printhead manually using a qtip and alchohol. no go. told cx that the problem is the printhead that needs to be replaced. provided cx kodak phone number ***-***-**** / ***-***-**** to order the printhead. told cx also that if the printhead is not available anymore since its a 7yr old printer, then she need to buy a new printer. cx understood. answer accepted.
