My Alexa does not respond properly to my requests. I aks to play music from a specific singer and at times takes too long to respond then starts playing the music then stops for no reason then may start again a minute or 2 later. How can I fix the problem?

Hi Ron,

Please try the steps below and see if this will fix your Alexa problem.

Enable and disable Alexa privacy

  1. Tap the Alexa button at the bottom of the Nucleus screen. This will enable Alexa privacy.
  2. Tap it again to start Alexa listening again.
  3. Try speaking to Alexa again.

Log out of Amazon and back in

If you still don't get a response from Alexa:

  1. Tap Settings in the upper-left corner.
  2. Tap Amazon Alexa.
  3. Tap Sign Out in the upper right corner. You should be returned to the Settings screen.
  4. Tap Amazon Alexa again.
  5. Tap Sign in with Amazon.
  6. Enter your email address and password, then tap the white arrow in the circle.
  7. Tap Done on the next screen, then the X in the upper-left corner to leave Settings.
  8. Try speaking to Alexa again.
