I Problems tagging products on Instagram. My Instagram account suddenly stopped working for tagging products. Previously, this function worked flawlessly. I have a business page in FB, which is linked with a business account on Istagram. On FB there is shop with catalog of products. FB has recently made changes to its shops, allowing direct sales through FB. Since then my Instagram is messed up. How to fix it? I can provide all the necessary additional information that is needed to solve this problem. All my attempts to fix this were unsuccessful.

Hi Ferdinand!
The day before yesterday we tried to fix tagging products for my Instagram acvcount. We haven't fix it yet.
As we agreed, I deleted Insta App from the phone, then downloaded it again and created a new Insta account. I also created a new business page on the FB and linked it to the new Instagram account. I also created Shop on this page ( with catalog). The FB was supposed to approve the directory for Instagram shopping. Now the FB has already approved it.
What I have now:
1. For this new Insta account, tagging is working.
2. I do not see on Instagram my other accounts that previously existed and with which there were problems. Now I can see only my personal account @natasha_harrelson and my newly created account 2decor_elegant_shop
3. I do not understand what my next steps should be.
Can I get my Instagram accounts which were before and which had problems back and make them work?
4. If not, then: can I disconnect a new Instagram account from this new FB page and link it to a previously existing page (with an existing product catalog)?
What will you advice? Maybe we can discuss today again?

Hi Natasha,

Yes You can,

From the NEw FB page, Try

disconnecting the New instagram / Also disconnect it from instagrams settings.

Then Delete the APP and reinstall it, log in using the old Instagra account and link it to the new page and see if that will work.

Thus, I will connect the old instagram with the new page (and the new directory) on the FB.
So, if everything works, I’ll have to fill in the catalog again. Right?  
Do you think that leaving the old pages on FB and making them work is not possible?

I am sorry/ I don't know how to do it(((((

As you told me,  I disconnected the New instagram / Also disconnected it from instagrams settings.

Deleted the APP and reinstalled it, logged in using the old Insta account.

!! BUT I don't know how to link it to the new page. Where are this settings? On FB Page Settings it allow me just to connect with my Private Insta Account

on fb you can link instagram account which will ask for a log in. use the old instagram sign in yes

As I told it FB allow me to connect only with my personal account @natasha_harrelson/ But I need to connect with my old business account @decor_elegant_shop

Uffff... I did it.

Now my NEW FB page (with new Shop and catalog) linked with OLD INSTA account.

BUT tagging doesn't work.  And in CATALOG/Settings I have such message (see below). And what should I do now??

 When I try to connect New Ist to old FB

I rceive this:

"The username you entered doesn't belong to an account. Please check your username and try again"
But this Inst account show up with other accounts in my phone now and I can swich between them....

And what a strange thing... Now I can see in my Instsgram just these accounts

My another old account @artdecor_elegant disappeared....

OMG!! I did it!
I could not do this for this account through FB, but I was able to do this through Intagram.
So now my NEW Inst is linked to the OLD FB page (and the pre-existing catalog). And I can tag products now...
Well ... what's next?
Does this mean that I am losing my Old Inst account, i.e., I can’t connect it to FB and it’s better to forget about it as a nightmare?

 

How to delite extra accounts in Instagram if I don't need it?

Before I accept the answer, tell me please how to delite extra accounts in Instagram.

And some more questions.
Why did this happen to my account? What was the problem?  What was it - was it a Instagram falure? But why did this happen when the FB began to make changes to its stores? Can I somehow avoid such failures in the future, or there is no  any guarantee?

Deleting instagram accounts should be here

NOTE: Deleting is permanent

It is possible the link between the old instagram account and Facebook together with the catalogs / I believe problem occured when the Store changes update happened.

Just make sure that these two will be link and make sure other business and page are created separately from the instagram account.
