Thank you for patiently waiting. All of your past Amazon digital purchases are automatically backed up in the Amazon Cloud so you can download them to your other Kindle devices anytime.

Go to the Cloud tab on your new Kindle to view and download purchases. You can also view and download your prior purchases from Manage Your Kindle:

www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle

Download from the Cloud

After you buy a Kindle book, magazine, newspaper, or Kindle game, the item is saved to Your Kindle Library in the Cloud. After you connect wirelessly, you can download items from the Cloud to your Kindle Paperwhite.

To access the Cloud, your Kindle must be connected to a Wi-Fi network. If you're unsure about your wireless connection, go to Check the Status of Your Wireless Connection.

All of your purchased Kindle books and periodicals are archived in the Cloud. Even if you remove items from your Kindle, you can download them again to any Kindle device or reading app that is registered to the same Amazon account.

  1. From Home, tap the Cloud tab to view Kindle content not downloaded to your device.
  2. Tap the book or periodical to download the title to your device.
  3. Tap the Device tab to view your Kindle Content.

Transfer from a Computer to Your Kindle

If you don't have a Wi-Fi connection, you can transfer books, magazines, or newspapers from a computer to your Kindle Paperwhite via USB. To borrow some public library books, you need to transfer them from a computer to your Kindle.

After you purchase books and periodicals, they are stored in the Cloud and are available for transfer from Manage Your Kindle. To transfer content from your computer to your Kindle, use the USB cable you received with your device.

  1. Visit Manage Your Kindle and locate the Kindle content you want to transfer to your Kindle.
  2. From the Actions drop-down, select Download & Transfer via USB.
  3. From the drop-down, select your Kindle, and then click Download.
Be sure you remember which folder you download your content file to. You will transfer your Kindle content from this folder to your Kindle.
  4. Connect your Kindle to your computer with the USB cable.
Your Kindle appears in the same location on your computer that external USB drives appear.

    • For Windows users, this is typically in the Computer or My Computer menu.

    • For Mac users, the drive will appear on the desktop.

  5. Open the Kindle drive and locate the Documents folder inside of that drive.
  6. Locate the downloaded file on your computer and copy it to the Documents folder on your Kindle drive.
  7. Safely eject your Kindle from your computer.
  8. From your Kindle, tap the Device tab to view your Kindle content.

I hope the information given helps Please let me know if you have additional questions.
