Also i tried to move my sony videos that i have on my laptop to my desktop and when i click on file and try to open with PMB on my desk top i always get error or cant open. Seems like I cant open these files successfully with any program on my desktop. I can only do it on my laptop. I need to move these files because the laptop is going away. help

Sorry I missed this did not realize you were ready. I try to open with Sony PMB, and it says to import and i try to do that and I get cannot find media files to import. The files are there.

But my main question was why cant playmemories let me upload the entire video to youtube in its software it cuts off around 38 seconds?

Here are the things that you might want to check to see what's the cause why Playmemories only limits up to 38 seconds.

Check if you have the latest version installed. You can download the latest version here. Sony Playmemories Latest Version
Try to convert the videos to another format like .avi and check if the video works. Don't worry, the HD won't be affected. Here's the link of a converter that downloads M2TS format to avi. Video Converter
If the videos are on 1080p, try to downgrade it to 720p.
If you have the disc, try uninstall and reinstall the software.

i thought i had the lastest version but will check that. It seems like it lets me upload some full videos and not others, i should not have to convert, sony should fix that.

er question, i have sony playmemories installed on my laptop where the files are originally. I copied those files to a cd and tried to open on my desktop with sony pmb and says cant find media to import, the files are there, and they are in a sony format?
