And when you said you want to go back to original settings do you mean you want to restore the device to factory state and setup the tulsaz account?
Model GT-P5113 android The email acct won't accept my password and does not provide a way to reset without the original which we do not have. I would like to completely wipe out the old email and reset
Can you please try to login to your email address (tulsaz) using your browser on your computer and check if it will accept your password?

yes it will it is only on our samsung tablet and samsung galaxy phone that it will not receive because of a non acceptable password our password on the email from our desktop works fine
To remove the email account
From the home screen, press the Menu button located below the screen.
Select Settings.
Choose Accounts & sync.
Select the account you wish to remove.
Tap the Remove account button at the bottom of the screen.
To add the email
Tap Apps.
Tap Email.
Enter the desired personal email address.
Tap the Password field, then enter the password associated with the email address.
Tap Next.
Adjust the options as needed, then tap Next.
Edit your account name and your name displayed on outgoing messages as desired, then tap Done.
Tap the Home icon to return to the Home screen.
Done!
there are three apps icons on the desktop which will bring up email other than gmail
Are you using the Gmail App or the Default Mail app?
it keeps telling me incorrect user or password, as it has the last 50 or so times ive tried to reset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you using the Gmail Email App or the Default Email App? If you will be using the Gmail App and wants to setup att email you will receive that error. Please use the default mail app
do i need to delete the gmail account in order for the att acct to work and if so how

Dont delete the gmail account. I need you to use the Mail Application.

I have 3 app icons; none contain a "mail application" per se.
my desktop looks nothing like that I have three icons for apps: top apps (looks like Christmas present), Samsung apps and free apps. None will give me a mail application when open!!
is that a typical tablet image? if so, it looks nothing like mine
do i need to go back to factory settings? if so, please tell me how so we can resolve this
This is the screen of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Tap the Application button at the top right part of the screen to show the list of icon.
If we will restore to factory state everything will be wiped out on your tablet.
ok that worked i am on the email setting how do i make it default
i have been on this screen several times but when i go to enter the password for manual setup, it rejects it with the message "incorrect user or password"
do i need to delete something else for this to be accepted
or to go to another setting to allow att to be my default
If you will setup you att email it will be the default if you have only 1 email setup on the email app.
Can you please make sure that you are typing the right information?The password is case sensitive.
i am absolutely certain it is the same as on the desktop and laptop. Every time it says Setup could not finish;;;;;incorrect user name or password edit details are you allowed to call me so we can work this through
Im sorry we dont have phone support. Would it be ok if we will use a 3rd party email application for us to determine the cause of the issue?

Please go to Play Store and Search for K-9 Mail. Please install it on your Tab and setup your att email.

what kind of acct is this pop3, imap or exchange
tried pop 3 , said it could not connect to server
Did it ask you to enter the incoming and outgoing mail server?

Did it ask you to choose a mail provider like yahoo, gmail, hotmail or just ask for pop3, imap or exchange? Please select Pop3
no it went straight from new user name and password to the above screen im now in pop server, it shows mail.att.net, security ( ssl i assume), authentication? and port 995 it then says setup could not finish cannot connect to server (unable to nopen connection to pop server but when i hit continue it asked when to update, i said every 10 minutes and it accepted. now what???

SSL always
Authentication type: Plain
Port: 995
Outgoing (sending):
smtp.att.yahoo.com
SSL always
Port: 465
it tells me in each case, incoming and outgoing, that it cannot connect to server buy allows me to finish and tells me it is complete
I understand. Can we try to use again the Maill App? Try to add a new account on the option to choose a mail provider select yahoo mail.
Check if you will have the same error.
