My Windows 10 start page is not set up correctly.(Because of mistakes I've made). Clicking Windows icon never shows desktop. Start page is maximum size and I can't change it. Can't make Cortana search box appear constantly. Computer is way too slow. Can you fix and how much?

Here's what I have tried so far:
Followed all instructions by Microsoft ie answer.microsoft.com. There is nothing critically wrong, it just needs a "tune up" by a Windows 10 interface expert. Cortana etc., I just hit the wrong buttons somewhere. It was perfect before I started playing with it! Not really worried about speed.

Here's my brand/make/model:
Samsung ATIV One 7 model DP700A3D-K02US (less than a year old) Windows 10.
