I recently went to Mapquests from Safari, and was instructed to download new version, which I did, since then all my ways to get on line thru Safari has been directed first thru Map app. this is distracting, and often slow, and I dan't get rid of the Map app.

Here's what I have tried so far:
I haven't tried anything because I don't understand how to delete an app
