Thank you for the response and sorry for the delay. Looking at the model numbers of your Computer and TV it should be possible to connect the Laptop to your TV through wireless and wired method. To connect your computer to the Smart TV, your computer needs to have the Smart View app compatible to Windows 10 for wireless connection or an output port that matches one of the input ports on your TV, such as VGA, DVI, or HDMI ports for the wired connection. Here are the steps to make streaming possible:
NOTE: If you want to use this method but is having trouble setting it up on the computer, Please let me know. We offer remote support upgrade that allows us to setup apps and configure settings on your computer remotely. To proceed with the instructions, follow the steps below:
1. Make sure that the Laptop and TV is connected to the same Wireless Network.
2. Download the Samsung Smart App View for Windows 10 by clicking >> THIS LINK
3. A box asking you to Save SmartView.msi should pop up. Save the file to your computer.
4. Open/Launch the app on computer and TV and follow the on screen instructions to complete Smart View setup and registration function.
NOTE: Depending on the model year of the TV this should show up on the SmartView feature: 2011~2013 Samsung Smart TVs require you to select ‘Allow’ on the popup window, showing nearby devices to connect. 2014~2015 Samsung Smart TVs require you to input a 4-digit number displayed on screen.
5. Both TV and Computer should now be connected to each other.

It didn't work. The PC and TV are on the same network. They are both on. The Smart View is installed, but the PC cannot find the TV and vice versa.
Thanks for the response. Can we try a different All share app o the computer and see if that works? Please uninstall the previous AllShare app that you installed on the computer. Once it is uninstalled go to this link and install this one instead:
LINK: AllShare Download
Once installed on the computer follow the steps to connect to TV. I'll be waiting for your response. Thanks.
I tried this download and got a message that this publisher is barred from downloading programs on this computer.
Sorry about that can you download from this link instead please: http://samsung-allshare.en.lo4d.com/
Clickon the green download button on the right and select the download location on the next screen. This will give you choices on the download. Please let me know.
The process is telling me that I need to install a driver for a fee. Is this correct?
You should be able to install this on your computer without fees. Can I do a remote session so I could download the correct file for you?
Okay
Thank you. To be able for me to connect, please download TeamViewer Quicksupport software from the link below:
- Click this link> https://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewerQS-iod.exe

I am now connected please let me take control of the computer to install the program. Thanks
Okay
Thanks. Taking control of the mouse now.
Did you install this total internet security? on 12/5/2016?
Maybe. I am not sure.
Is it okay we disable or get rid of it? It could be blocking the installation.
Will it jeapodized internet security? If not, get rid of it.
Your windows 10 has another working security program installed already and this security program got installed recently.
Lets remove it since you have another security program running.
Okay
I got disconnected from teamviewer are you still there?
I'm going to try another program.
Okay
The laptop has detected the TV but is not connecting is it on and connected to the network?
Yes
Is the TV connected wireless or with a LAN cable?
Wireless
Whats the name of the wireless network the TV is connected to please?
NETGEAR12-5G
Thanks the laptop is connected to a LAN cable instead of NETGEAR12-5G since it doesnt say connected. Let me try connecting it.
What do you see on the TV now?
The football game
We will add the TV again. Yoll notice that the computer will ask you to follow the steps on the TV. Please follow the steps if you see any notification on the TV
Okay
First follow the steps below to prepare the TV for Screen Mirroring:
Step 1: Press the Source button on the remote control.
Step 2: Select the Screen Mirroring as a source.
Let me know when its done so I can do the next steps.
I cannot find Screen Mirroring as as option.
Just give me a sec. I'll check the TVs manual
Okay
Can you go to Source > Connection Guide and tell me what it says on the TV?
The is a menu of devices including PC
Select PC and what do you see?
Screen Sharing (HDMI) or Content Sharing (Smart View App)
Select Content Sharing (Smart View App) and what does the TV say after that?
First Screen says that TV is connected to NETGEAR12-5G. The WSecond Screen says to load www.samsung.com/smartview into browser and follow onscreen instructions.
Anything on the TV screen asking to allow computer to connect?
No
how about now?
No
Its showing the laptop that the TV is connected now. Let me check on the TV manual.
Okay. Do we need some content to show on the TV?
Im still checking on the TV settings. Let me know if there are any indications that the laptop is connected.
Okay
can you select source on your tv remote and tell me what are the options?
Cable, TV, Universal Remote, Connection Guide
Its says connected on the computer but im wondering why its not showing on your tv
I need to go. Can we close this for now and reopen at at lated date?
Sure just leave me a message once youre back. Im disconnecting now.
Is my internet secure? Are there programs that should be deleted?
I appreciate your efforts. Maybe a rest will be helpful.
Yes I reactivated windows firewall and windows defender. I also disconnected teamviewer. In the future when we reconnect you must again provide me with the teamviewer password since passwords change everytime we end sessions.
Okay. I noticed several AllShare programs in the program list. Should I uninstall them?
Delete all allshare downloads we done a while ago. We dont need it anymore on the PC since we have used a different program.
Okay. Thanks again.
Youre welcome.
Hi Phil,
I'm just doing a follow up regarding your question. Have you already connected the computer to the TV successfully. Please leave me a message whenever you want to continue the troubleshooting. I willk be waiting for your response. Thanks.
Abe,
The Samsung Smart View finds the Samsung smart TV, but when I try to stream the video, the downloading symbol apperas but nothing shows up on the TV. I tried it for over an hour with no results. The downloading symbol just keeps truning.
Hello Phil,
Thanks for replying. I'm thinking this could be a connection problem since trying to connect. Can you go back to the TV's Network settings and try changing in Network Settings your DNS server to 8.8.8.8
Then go ahead try streaming again. Changing the DNS should work. Please let me know. I'll be waiting for your response.
For some reason my TV 's remote is not letting me access the home page and thus network settings. It works everything else (volume, Channels, etc.). Any ideas?
Make sure you are using the TV's remote and not a universal remote or the remote from a cable box. If I am correct the remote for the unit should look like this:
If you are using the correct remote, turn off the TV and turn it on after a few seconds. On the remote press HOME and go to IP SETTINGS:
Check the DNS values in IP Settings. Chane the 0.0.0.0 to 8.8.8.8
Let me know if this works. Thanks.
I am using the TV's remote. All of the functions work except the home. I have tried turning it off several times and have checked the batteries and nothing.
Can you provide me the model number of the remote under the battery cover please? You can find the model number of the remote on the inside of the battery cover. Open the battery cover to view the model number thanks.
Model Code BN59-01260A
Model Name RMCSPK1AP2
Thanks can you aim the remote at the infrared sensor located at the bottom center of the TV:
Press the return and play/pause button at the same time for about 5 seconds
You should see pairing complete on the TV screen this confirms that the remote is successfully paired.
Check if you can access the home menu this time.
I followed the instructions and got the "Pairing Complete" notice, but it still doesn't work. I also turned the TV off and on again without success.
Are there buttons on the TV that could let you access the settings? It looks like somethings wrong with the remote. When was the last time you used the home button on the remote?
I do not find any buttons on the TV. There is a panel that requires some special toll to open, but I don't know if that is what you are looking for or not. I used the home button on th TV last when I was trying to set up the PC streaming.
Are those new batteries in the remote? thats the only thing stopping us from accessing the network settings.
I checked the batteries and they are good. I tried replacing them anyway and that didn't work.
I'm still looking for possible fixes on this home button issue on the remote but cant seem to find one. Are those new batteries?
Yes and they are good according to the battery checker.
Did you try unplugging the TV for 30 seconds when you turn it off? Lets try that just in case you havent.
Are you some kind of genius? That worked. I did, however go into network settings, open wireless settings, and all I got was wireless that tokk me to the wireless connection for the TV which was ok.
This Smart View acts quirky. Should I try reinstalling it?
Thanks. Now under Settings there is Network and an Open Network Settings option. Under that should have IP Settings. Go ahead check if you can stream this time after setting to 8.8.8.8
This should work this time. Please let me know.
Make sure its the DNS that you changed to 8.8.8.8 under IP Settings just in case you need to double check. I will be waiting for your response after you test the streaming.
When I go to Open Network Settings I do not find IP Settings. It just shows "Wireless" and when I click on it, it says it is properly connected.
Thanks. Does the computer able to stream this time?
Or can you check under Network if theres a Network Status option?
If I am correct it should show under Network Status an option to select IP Settings. Select IP Settings and a line that should say DNS Settings
Okay. I put it under IP Settings and got an error message. I will change it.
Try to leave IP settings to Get Automatically. Just change the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
I changes the IP Settings back to 0.0.0.0 and DNS to 8.8.8.8 and thried to stream, and it isn't working. Smart View found the TV, the contents shows it is streaming, but nothing is coming on the TV.
It could be a setting on the TV that we missed. Can you go to Home>Source>Connection Guide please. Let em know what you see there.
Cable Box/ Disc Player
Let me check on this. Can I do a remote access on your computer again please? Just click on https://download.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewerQS-iod.exe allow the program to run after downloading it and provide me the ID and Password. Thanks

Please wait while I connect
I am now connected. Let me take the controls. Thanks
Is the TV connected to NETGEAR12-5G and not NETGEAR12-5G_EXT?
It is connected to NETGEAR12-5G
Did you see anything on the TV after connecting using the connect to a wireless display option?
No
Can you go to:
And let me know what shows up on the TV screen?
Device Name (TV) Samsung 6 Series (50)
Select your WiFi device to connect to
Are you able to select the computer from the Select your WiFi device to connect to?
It keeps looking for something but nothing shows up.
Still not streaming?
No. Is it possible the Smart View program is not loaded properly?
Could be. let me uninstall this and reinstall okay? I also need to check on the router settings and see what I can find
Okay
Still nothing on the TV?
Nothing. Can we close out here and maybe take it up again at a later date?
Sure let me just disconnect. I shall do some research on this and get back with some further troubleshooting next time. In the meantime you can try unplugging the router later and plugging it back in after 30 seconds and try reconnecting. Okay? Leave a message for any progress just in case. Thanks.
I will and thanks.
Youre welcome
