I have a new color laser jet pro M252dw. Is there any way to print black and white pictures as halftones? My trusty LaserJet4 did a really nice job for me, and I still use it when I need halftones, but I was wondering about this newer machine. I am a printer and need the halftone screening to print on my offset presses.

Hi William,

Thank you for waiting!

This printer should give you that option too.

When you hit print on a document a small Windows of printer preference will show up.

That window should give you an advanced option or preference first before you hit the Final print button.

That window should give you an advanced option or preference first before you hit the Final print button.

Normally on your document.

1. On the File menu in the software program, click Print.
2. Click Properties or Preferences.
3. Click the Color tab.

From there you can make the adjustments.

Let me know your findings.

I found a button for halftone under the color setup.....but nothing changes when I

print it out. All I have is a medical illustration behind some text and the illustration needs

to be outputted as a halftone, but nothing I have tried so far has worked.

I will fuss with it later, as I am in the middle of a printing job and running late.

Ok, Also Try going into the quality settings and try adusting the Quality.

New driver software does not give you a fine adjustment but replaced with quality adjustments. Reducing it makes changes to the halftones.

Let me know what happen.
