Hi Rosellen,
May I know the exact model of your Bose radion and the exact model of the onkyo CD player.
Hi Rosellen,
May I know the exact model of your Bose radion and the exact model of the onkyo CD player.
The radio number 025336c10080734ac, the Onkyo number is ***-***-**** a
The numbers were the serial numbers, the model numbers are: Bose: awr101 and Onkyo: dx-c390
I need the exact model name. For example BOSE Wave music system IV or onkyo cd player c-7030.
Ok so that is Bose: awr101 and Onkyo: dx-c390.
Just sent the correction, model vs serial numbers
Yes
Please hold on.
Yes
Ok. What you want to is to connect your onkyo player to your bose radio so that you can play cds from the onkyo player and the sound will be coming our from the bose radio. Is that correct?
Yes
Do you see audio out port at the back of your onkyo player?
Yes
Alright great. Do you see Audio in port at the back of the onkyo receiver?
Sorry Audio in port at the back of the Bose Radio.
i think so on the Bose, a red and white plug in
The Bose says aux in
Yes. You have 4 audio ports at the back of the Bose radio. The 2 ports (red/white) at the top is the Audio in ports and the 2 ports below is for the audio out.
Ok heres what you need to do. Grab and audio cable and connect it at the back of the onkyo audio out ports (red/white) then then connect the other end of the cable at the back of the Bose Audio in port. Press the Aux button on the Bose player so that system will be forced to use the audio in port. Try to play CD on the onkyo player then you should hear the sound coming our from the Bose radio.
That would be it.
Trying this please hold on, it did not work earlier
All we get is a scratchy noise
Check the cable that you use. Try a different audio cable. This the same procedure from the Bose user manual. Here's the print screen of the user manual.
Will try again
Select your CD player, tape player, or other auxiliary source by pressing the AUX button o nthe Bose Radio.
Did do that, but still scratchy sound only
are you playing disc already on the onkyo player? Try to adjust the volume of your onkyo player using the onkyo remote control...
We have not hooked up remote, please hold on
You can still adjust the volume controls of the onkyo player by using its remote control. I suggest put the volume to the max on the onkyo player and later on control the volume on the Bose radio.
Please hold working on it
We can’t find the volume
Not finding a place to connect remote to Bose unit
Is the Onkyo Cd player already playing a disc?
It doesn’t play, just scratchy noise
Did you pressed the aux button on the bose radio and see if it can pick out the sound from the onkyo receiver.
Yes aux is pressed, no sound from either
The Onkyo is only a player
The sound should be coming out by now from the bose radio. The disc is already playing on your Onkyo player, right?
The disc is in the player and is turned on to play, but still does not
can you try to restart first both device by turning them off and unpluggingthe power cords from the outlet for a minute. Plug the cords back and turn on the unit and test it again.
Yes
Ok. Let me know the result after restarting both devices.
Still scratchy sound only
Do you have a phone number that I can call?
Yes, ***-***-****
