Hi Janice,
Thank you for waiting!
The passcode is a Hardware lock on the phone.
Normally set up when it was purchased or when finger print access was registered.
Does it say to wait for few minutes after you type in an incorrect code?
yes
How many minutes to wait was the last attempt you did?
about 40
it says 5 minutes
where are you
OK, Here is the situation.
First. The passcode cannot be reset. There is no option to reset and get a new passcode.
The only way around this are two steps.
1. Remember the code - it should be Normally set up when it was purchased or when finger print access was registered.
There is an attempt limit. if all attempt was used and still did not go through the phone will say "iPhone is disabled"
2. Resetting the phone to Factory Defaults/ Using a computer we can restore the phone to factory defaults erasing the configured passcode.
Let me know what you think.
restore
Ok Are you on a computer now?
is this a Windows or a MAC computer?
yes windows
