I just bought an I8 phone and need to send a text. What are the buttons to push on the phone in rder to text?

Just want to clarify, the phone that you purchased is iphone 8, right?

You can send me a reply by entering your message in the box at the top then hit the send response button to send.

Here's the steps to send a text message. 

1. Open Messages. It's the app with a speech bubble that can be found on your Home screen.

2. Tap the New Message icon. It's an icon showing a pen and paper at the top-right of your screen.

3. Enter a recipient. Type in a phone number, and tap Return.

4. Tap the text field. This is located above the on-screen keyboard.

5. Type a message. Tap the letters on the on-screen keyboard and they'll appear in the text field above the keyboard

6. After entering your message Tap the Send button. It's the upward-facing arrow on the right-hand side of the text field. A text bubble with your message will appear above the text field.

to turn off airplane mode off. follow the  steps below.

1. go to settings.

2. Select the Airplane Mode switch to turn it on or off.

3. When Airplane mode is on, the Airplane mode icon will be displayed in the Status bar. If the Airplane mode is off the icon is not visible at the top.
